לא תמיד נכון. אבל בוא נדבר על מקרה שזה כן מעבד X86 -
פלטפורמת PC כוללת יותר מאשר רק מעבד ודיסק קשיח, יש את הקושחה של לוח האם (מה שנקרא בעבר BIOS והיום UEFI) שצריך להתאים, ויש עוד רכיבים על לוח האם (אבל כאן זה כבר מגיע לתחומים שאני לא מספיק בקי... נראה לי לדוגמה יש את ה-interrupt controller וכדומה)
ווינדוס מצפה למצוא את כל הנ"ל מסודר בצורה מסויימת
אני לא יודע איך התקשורת במחשבי כרום בוק, האם זה גם דרך PCI? ומה לגבי המסך? זה VGA? ומה לגבי תקשורת עם המקלדת עכבר?

ומה לגבי RAM וחוזק המעבד? גם הם בעייתים.
